Robert Minick, Ph.D.

Senior Jury Consultant

Robert Minick is a senior jury consultant for TrialGraphix, a litigation consulting firm specializing in jury consulting, graphic design, presentation technologies, and trial preparation solutions. In his role, Dr. Minick offers expertise in the design and implementation of social science research, the analysis of group dynamics and persuasion, and the evaluation of juror reactions to case facts, witnesses, and trial strategies. He provides assistance with opening statement development, witness preparation, and jury selection. For 20 years, he has been involved in a wide variety of matters, including antitrust, business, commercial, environmental, insurance coverage, intellectual property, malpractice, personal injury, product liability, securities, and toxic tort litigation. He has been the lead consultant on more than 600 cases throughout his career, several of which have been cited as outstanding wins by The National Law Journal, including most recently BASF v. Lyondell.

As a recognized expert in his field, Dr. Minick has presented on a variety of topics at both state and national bar associations, Inns of Court, and local CLE events. His articles have appeared in a number of publications, including The National Law Journal, For the Defense, Inside Litigation, International Legal Strategy, and several ABA and state bar association publications. Dr. Minick’s views on trial strategies in highly publicized cases have been reported by various media outlets, including CNN, BBC, ABC, BET, the AP, Business Week, The National Law Journal, and The Wall Street Journal.

Prior to joining TrialGraphix, Dr. Minick served as the managing director of jury consulting services for FTI Consulting, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he was the director of DecisionQuest in New York City and of Litigation Sciences Inc., also in New York. Dr. Minick worked as an industrial and organizational psychologist for 10 years prior to becoming a jury consultant, primarily for the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).

Dr. Minick holds a Ph.D. in applied psychology from St. Louis University. He received his M.S. in social psychology from Boston College and a B.A. in psychology from Colgate University.
